Children from the families of daily labourers, construction workers, single mothers, fish vendors and survivors of Domestic Violence, sexual harassment etc., will benefit through education material i.e. notebooks, uniforms, shoes/chappals etc., by this sponsorship
The Children in the age group of 10-18 years from the poorest of the poor are studying in Government Schools, the parents are working as daily labourers, construction workers, single mothers, fish vendors, and Domestic Violence Victims. The parents are not in a position to bear the cost of expenses of the children's studies, hence, the children are dropped out of school at the age of 12 onwards and work for sibling care, housekeeping and/or stay at home. The children will benefit from the sponsorship to continue their education without burden on their parents
Mahila Margadarshi identified 84 children from the marine fishing communities, urban slums, and single mothers in rural areas in the Srikakulam District of Andhra Pradesh. The children who are dropped out of school due to the lack of financial support and struggling with the education material like notebooks, uniforms, shoes, pens, pencils, and tuition fees for better education, hence there is a need to provide support to these children to continue their education
The objective of the project is to access education for the poorest children to improve their quality of life, the project will allow them to continue their education without interruption, simultaneously providing career guidance and life skill education to become strong and achieve their goals for their bright future. Mahila Margadarshi sponsor the notebooks, uniforms, shoes, pens, pencils, and tuition fees to the children who identified and improved their knowledge of health particularly menstrual health, child protection policies, like protecting themselves from child marriages, trafficking, abuse, and sexual harassment, etc. the sponsorship will provide bright future to the children
